I'm the World expert in expressing irony artistically
"Look at this funny stone!” I said. “It reminds me of Paul McCartney!”

“Nia, let’s go home. It’s getting dark,” my mom said sternly. “And why are you always so distracted? Your teachers say you’re falling behind at school, always daydreaming. It’s time to start thinking about your future—about university. Your dad says there are two good options: law or management. You need to choose one.”

Years passed, but I still see faces in rocks

A misshapen potato in the grocery store can make me laugh because ordinary objects often remind me of human features. The texture of an old wall, a patterned carpet, even a wrinkle in fabric—all of these things inspire me

Im Nia Kanevsky, the World expert in expressing irony artistically and I’ve been drawing my whole life, despite having a “serious” degree (haha)

Right now, I’m working on a series of whimsical illustrations with deeper meaning. Some ideas come to me naturally, while others come from photos my followers send me

Sometimes, a simple picture of a sidewalk stone can turn into a painting full of meaning

I love subtle humor and aesthetics, so my work often requires a closer look to truly understand. It’s a little challenge for those who like to notice the small details

I’m also fascinated by human relationships and self-irony, which is why I often explore themes of love, parenthood, and social norms

My studio is in Lisbon, and I’m excited to share my latest collection “The Quirky Side of Life”, which I’ve been working on since January 2025
